《华南大地构造演化概论及野外勘查（英文版）》主要分两部分，第一部分是介绍华南大地构造演化过程，以华南地区（包括扬子及华夏陆块）自基底形成到新生代的主要构造事件为主线，展示本地区目前所发现的相应沉积、构造、岩浆作用的地质证据，并总结目前研究成果中的主要问题及学术争论焦点。第二部分是作者在研究华南地区地质问题20余年的基础上，总结了华南东部地区最典型且最能全面反映华南地区大地构造演化历史的野外实地考察线路。书中不仅详细介绍每天行程中的地质考察点位置及所能看到的地质现象，而且还始终相关科学问题贯穿整个考察过程，使每个参与者都能有一个收获丰富且印象深刻的华南东部地质演化过程之旅。
