本教材从我国尤其是南方的蔬菜生产实际出发，以蔬菜生产过程为导向，以蔬菜生产典型工作任务为载体，采用“教学做”一体的教学方法，组织和编排教材内容体系。本教材共编写了8个学习情境，包括瓜类蔬菜生产、茄果类蔬菜生产、豆类蔬菜生产、白菜类蔬菜生产、根菜类蔬菜生产、绿叶类蔬菜生产、葱蒜类蔬菜生产、薯蓣类蔬菜生产，以及23个子情境和实训工作任务部分。每个典型工作任务又有若干个任务实施环节组成。力求学生在学习过程中提高分析问题和解决问题的能力。本教材适用于园艺技术专业的学生。

"汤伟华，江苏海门人，硕士，副教授。主要从事蔬菜栽培和育种工作，主讲蔬菜生产技术、园艺植物种子生产课程,为国家特色高水平现代农业技术专业群骨干成员、全国职业院校技能大赛改革试点赛优秀裁判员、江苏省“1+X”设施蔬菜生产职业技能等级证书(中级)考评员、国家级精品在线开放课程园艺植物种子生产骨干教师。主持园艺技术专业国家级教学资源库子项目建设，主持现代农业技术专业教学资源库子项目建设，主编《蔬菜生产技术》《绿色优质农产品种植简明规程》2部教材。获江苏省高等职业院校信息化教学大赛二等奖，江苏省职业院校教师教学能力大赛三等奖、江苏省高校微课教学比赛一等奖等多项省级教学奖项。 刘叶琼，安徽滁州人，硕士，农艺师。主要从事蔬菜新品种选育和工厂化育苗工作，主讲蔬菜生产技术课程。指导江苏省大学生创新创业训练计划项目1项，参与完成省市级科研项目11项;发表省级以上核心期刊学术论文7篇;授权国家发明专利2项、实用新型专利1项、软件著作权1项;以第一培育人选育蔬菜新品种3个。参与选育植物新品种8个;在4部“十四五”国家规划教材中担任副主编;被评为全国职业院校技能大赛“赛证融通”邀请赛优秀奖指导教师，获江苏省高校微课教学比赛一等奖，江苏省农民培训优秀教学资源比赛一等奖、江苏省职业院校技能大赛先进个人等多项奖项。"
