本书分为25个单元，每个单元一个话题。在每个单元里设计了很多种练习词汇的题型，包含语音、词法、句法和语篇的练习，让学生在这些功能项目中学习和记忆词汇，每个单元的词汇都有word bank的形式将本单元要学习的词汇进行了总结和归纳，或者用思维导图的方式进行了呈现，让学生联想记忆，这样事半功倍。
